2024 ANZAC Day Commemoration for Schools

Each year since the centenary of ANZAC Day in 2015,1 the Rotary Club of Boronia has conducted an annual ANZAC Day commemoration service for schools.   The 2023 service was attended by more than 450 students from twelve local schools, who listened intently to Guest Speaker, Sergeant Shaun Forde (Retired) speak about The Role of Dogs in Service.

The 2024 event will again be held at the Tim Neville Arboretum, with a ceremony commencing at 11:00am on Friday, 19th April.

This year’s Guest Speaker will be Kylie Post who will speak about her years of service in the Royal Australian Navy.  Music will again be provided by the St Joseph’s College Stage Band, with the St Joseph’s Primary School Choir will providing choral support.

Local primary schools have been invited to participate; this year some 570 students from sixteen local schools will be attending.  All interested members of the community are welcome to attend.
